Victoria Crowned Pigeons at Bristol Zoo.
Finally after many, many trips to the zoo, these beautiful looking birds were sat in a position where I could take a nice photo of them. Usually they are in sight but in a non accessible part of the aviary. These birds can weigh up to 3.5kg which is more than my younger cat weighs so they are definitely not to be messed with. The Victoria Crowned Pigeon is currently evaluated as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
